Quentin McCorvey

President

Quentin’s professional experience begun in public service, creating a good basis for his later responsibilities as an administrator, strategist, and community leader. His diversified experiences span different industries, including government, healthcare, banking, and non-profit organizations. Quentin’s strong leadership qualities and strategic acumen led him to serve as the President and CEO of a distribution services company prior to joining Paradigm. At Paradigm, Quentin plays a crucial role in business development and developing community partnerships.

Driven by a strong civic engagement, Quentin has made a huge effect in many organizations. He served as the previous Board Chair of Ohio Means Jobs Cleveland/Cuyahoga County, contributing to workforce development programs. Additionally, he actively serves as a member of the Executive Committee of Cleveland Development Advisors, pushing effective economic development projects. Quentin is also a cherished member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and 100 Black Men of Greater Cleveland, organizations dedicated to uplifting and empowering communities. His excellent efforts have been acknowledged by prominent distinctions such as Crain’s Cleveland Business 40 Under 40 and Kaleidoscope 40 Under 40. Quentin has also served on the Board Nominating Panel for the Cleveland Metropolitan Schools and the Governor’s legal Advisory Committee, displaying his devotion to education and the legal system.

Quentin’s academic qualifications further strengthen his experience and leadership ability. He obtained an MPA (Master of Public Administration) from Cleveland State University, giving him with broad understanding in public governance and policy. Quentin also holds a BA in Political Science from Jackson State University, cultivating a strong awareness of political dynamics and their repercussions.

Ryan Bailey, CFA, FRM, CAIA, CMT

Chief Investment Officer

Ryan Bailey, an acknowledged graduate of Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, has made major contributions to the world of finance during his career. He began his journey at the equities research divisions of major companies such as Smith Barney, Deutsche Bank, and Credit Suisse First Boston, earning excellent experience in investment analysis and market research. Ryan’s drive to professional development is evident via his acquisition of various qualifications, including Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), and Chartered Market Technician (CMT).

Currently, Ryan has prominent roles on the investing committees of recognized organizations, including the American Heart Association, Texas Employee Retirement System, Dallas Police and Fire, and Parkland Hospital. His experience is sought after as a director on the board of Blue Dolphin Energy (BDCO) and as a board member for the Texas Alternative Investment Association, Bridgeway Capital Management, STREAM Foundation, Portfolios with Purpose, and Dallas CFA Society. Ryan also serves as an Angel for the Texas Wall Street Women and functions as a Strategic Advisor for Carbonado Partners.

Prior to joining Paradigm, Ryan received distinction for his job as the Head of Investments at Children’s Health System of Texas, where he expertly managed assets totalling $1.8 billion across different portfolios, including the hospital’s pension, foundation, operational cash, and long-term pools. As the founding investment officer, Ryan played a vital role in creating the investment department, designing and executing systems, procedures, and governance structures to create a top-tier endowment office.

Ryan’s knowledge extends further to his position as the Investment Officer and Interim Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of the Meadows Foundation. In this capacity, he successfully drove the due diligence process, contributed to the formulation of strategic asset allocation, and designed and executed investment strategies to achieve competitive performance.

Ryan’s accomplishments have garnered him numerous honors and recognitions from major organizations such as Institutional Investor, Asset International – Chief Investment Officer Magazine (aiCIO), and Trusted Insight. These honors are a testament to his extraordinary contributions to the field of finance and investment management.

Burner Crew commenced on his professional path in asset management at a famous New York securities brokerage business, where he polished his talents and obtained essential insight in the public funds sector. Over the course of his career, Burner achieved exceptional success in the financial markets, working with distinction at famous institutions such as KeyBank, McDonald Investments, and EF Hutton. His areas of specialization encompass asset management and allocation, fund management, alternative investments, portfolio diversification, financial advice services, options trading, credit spreads, debt structuring, bond and alternative financing, investment education, and public speaking.

With his thorough knowledge and expertise, Burner has established a solid understanding of asset management methods and a remarkable ability to negotiate the complexity of the financial landscape. Zion Durden

Washington & Lee University '25

Zion is an incoming Investment Banking and Global Wealth Management Analyst at Citibank. He is an analyst for BLK Capital Management, a long/short equity hedge fund that employs capital across the globe as well as managing a portion of Harvard University’s endowment. A 2022 Goldman Sachs Emerging Leader. 
 
Zion is well experienced working within the financial services and capital markets as he’s held positions in Private Equity, Asset Management, Wealth Management, and M&A Real Estate. As he continues his college career, Zion is a former member of Washington & Lee University’s Men’s Basketball Team and a member of the W&L chess club, continuing his love for the game which spawn a professional career starting at the age of 6.
 
He now holds titles as a Venture Cap Associate and fundraising consultant under the Nirvana Analytics umbrella as he was expeditiously promoted from an intern to a full-time associate while uniquely still attending university, due to the value, productivity, and connections within the capital markets. Through partnership with the Tech-Pharma services company Skyward Rx, Zion serves as a Senior Sales Associate leading their sales management team. During his time in high school, Zion Co-lead the Consumer Discretionary Division in the Student Investment Committee all four years managing a portion of the school’s endowment and surpassing the S&P 500’s annual return multiple years.

Grace Zhao

Brown University '23

Grace is a Brown University graduate, holding degrees in Economics and Visual Art. She will be joining Boston Consulting Group as an Associate in San Francisco in 2024. Previously, Grace has worked on a diverse array of projects spanning across e-commerce, healthcare, and robotic process automation. She has worked as an Experience Design Intern at Boston Consulting Group, a Product Design Intern at UiPath, a Contractor at Cartograph, an Intern at Brown’s Masters Program in Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship (PRIME), and a Marketing and Finance Intern at Sotheby’s International Realty.

During her time at Brown University, Grace significantly contributed to the campus’s mentorship program, design community, and cultural clubs. She led Brown Women in Business (WIB)’s Marketing & Communications team and mentored 15+ underclassmen in WIB’s mentorship program, worked as a Communications Chair and Senior Advisor at Brown Chinese Students Association, guided students as an Advisor for the Matched Advising Program for Sophomores (MAPS), volunteered and contributed to the Operations and Sustainability team for Better World by Design’s 2021 conference, and designed for Full Stack @ Brown. Grace was also awarded at the 42nd Annual Juried Student Exhibition from Brown University’s Department of Visual Art and Brown Arts Institute and held her own gallery thesis exhibition in the fall of 2022.

With her interests in technology, business, and design, Grace is thrilled to intern at Paradigm this summer.
